I'm a visual and UI/UX designer who wants to help you make a good impression on your users. I believe that building a good user experience means understanding your user's needs, anticipating their intent and providing them with a clear path through your product.
In 2016, Curse was acquired by Twitch.tv, an Amazon company. We joined a growing family of other Amazon subsidiaries who all help each other and offer opportunity to grow mutual shared value for Amazon. Since our core competency is building communities, Amazon tapped us to build its new Devices forum.
I was assigned as the lead designer on this project and was tasked with using the Amazon branding guidelines to turn our base forums into something that looked and felt like an Amazon site.
I've had the awesome opportunity to get to work with some really big brands while at Curse. Studying and trying to match a brand's style is something I love to do.
In 2017 I designed and developed a parallax scrolling unit that our client loved. I designed the unit in Photoshop and developed the final unit in Celtra.
In 2016, Curse implemented a new payment platform for all of our subscription sites. In the prototype to the left you can see each step of the payment process including a congratulations screen that was to be customized per site (this mockup uses Muthead.com as the demo site).
I was responsible with learning the steps and requirements for each step of the process. After that I drew some quick prototypes and consulted with stakeholders to ensure I was on the right path. I then created the high fidelity interactive prototype shown here.
I was the primary designer for the Curse app beginning in 2014. I provided wireframes and worked closely with project leads to mock up new features and translate ideas into user interface elements.See Full Project

Using a plugin called BodyMovin, designers can now export animated shape layers directly from After Effects as a very small svg animation file. These icons were designed by Jackie Allebach and animated by myself. By using this method we saved approximately 3mgb of page load from .gifs.

In early 2017 my friend Travis Howell from Creative Grenade asked me to co-host a weekly 3 hour show on Adobe's official Twitch channel with him. We were asked by Adobe to cater our content to show off Adobe Experience Designer and explore User Interface design related topics. Each week we would tackle a design challenge such as "Design a shopping cart page" and break down our thought process and procedures. Along the way we also demoed the Adobe XD program to hundreds of viewers who tuned in.
